using the clear measuring up in the rice jar, add one leveled cup of rice to the bowl.
gently wash the rice, rubbing the grains together to polish them. if you rub the grains together too hard, you will break
them apart, which is okay, but you want to try to avoid it.

if you ever hit the wrong button, press the big button with a red circle on the left, it will cancel what you did.
on the bottom row of the rice cooker button panel, there are four grey buttons.
using the second grey button from the right, you can select the cooking mode. an arrow will move around the electronic
display.
press it until the arrow on the display is in the top left position, pointing up.
another way to describe it if you are lost: there are three modes for white rice. from the perspective of the arrow,
they are all on the top side of the display. you want the left most option on top of the display.
---starting the rice cooker---

start the rice cooker by pressing the big oranage button, furthest to the right. it will play you a song :)
the rice cooker display should read 54. if it doesn't, you can press the big button circled in red to cancel and try
again. if it says 74, that works too :)
---turning off the rice cooker---

after the rice finishes cooking, it will into warming mode. the display will read "0h" or the amount of hours it has been
on warm mode.
to turn off the rice cooker, press the left most big button that has a red circle around it.
